Han Solo: The Life of a Scoundrel

WARNING: SPOILER ALERTS

In 2018, Lucasfilm released Solo: A Star Wars Story, which served as a prequel to the original trilogy and highlighted the life of Han Solo prior to running into a scrawny little nerf-herder named Luke Skywalker.

Prior to becoming a decorated war General, Han was just a scrumrat on Corellia desperately looking for a way out through any means necessary. Although he once had a father, he did not have a surname--just a reputation for smooth talk and flattery. After dodging authorities during a bold escape, he joined the Imperial Academy to be a pilot. During his quick recruitment (because it was either that, or getting arrested), he was given the name Han Solo.

Han Solo was later expelled from the Imperial Flight Academy due to insubordination. In an attempt to flee Imperial conditions, he met Chewbacca (an Imperial captive) and joined a band of smugglers.

After developing quite the reputation, he worked as a smuggler for Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. While negotiating new terms with Jabba, he met Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker.

Along with Chewie and Skywalker, Solo rescued Princess Leia and defeated the Death Star. Princess Leia and Han Solo later married after defeating the empire. They then welcomed their son Ben Solo into the world.

Ben Solo turned to the Dark Side after his uncle almost killed him in his sleep, taking the mantle as Kylo Ren. Han Solo went back to being a smuggler to deal with the pain and guilt of losing his son to the path of Vader. Somewhere during this time, the Millenium Falcon was stolen.

Years later, Rey (a Jakku scavenger) stole the Millennium Falcon from her boss in an attempt to flee the First Order, which was built from the ashes of the Empire. Han Solo and Rey bonded over their love for the Falcon, but Rey was soon kidnaped by Kylo Ren.

Han Solo was killed by Kylo Ren in the Battle of Starkiller Base in an attempt to bring Ben Solo back to the light.
